Durham Bed Centre to Open Flagship Store in Washington

News — Durham Bed Centre to Open Flagship Store in Washington

Local furniture and homewares store, Durham Bed Centre is set to unveil a new 4,895sq ft flagship store at the Galleries, Washington.

The family-owned, independent retailer has added a further 3,034sq ft of space by merging its existing unit with two adjacent units to create the showroom which will launch on Saturday 22nd April.

The new store will consolidate their offer at the shopping centre, which was previously spread across two separate units, and showcases a wide range of furniture and homewares including beds, wardrobes, sofas and dining tables alongside rugs, ornaments and mirrors.

Simon Eatough, director of Landlord and Tenant at LCP, said: “Creating one, larger space for Durham Bed Centre is a great way of repurposing two smaller adjacent units to enable our tenant to expand and showcase its wide range of furniture and homewares. It is another great addition to the popular Centre which has seen a lot of new tenants opening their doors in recent months and with more to follow.”

Steve Armour, owner of Durham Bed Centre, said: “We are delighted to take the new space in the Galleries and create a bigger store to showcase our ranges which now includes many new collections. The Galleries is a really busy centre and our furniture has always proved popular with shoppers and we look forward to welcoming more to our new flagship store.”
